PineBill's online invoice generator lets freelancers and small teams create professional PDF invoices in seconds — bill by the hour or by product, in your own currency and 12 languages, with automatic invoice numbering and four templates to choose from. Send each invoice by email, or as a secure share link with password protection, an expiry date and a view limit. Turn on reminders and PineBill follows up for you.
Templates
Four professional designs — Standard, Bold Professional, Mono and Startup Modern. Choose one per invoice, or set your default once.
Components & custom fields
Every invoice is structured for you: header, line items, totals and payment details. Add custom term fields wherever you need them.
Document footer
A rich footer on every page of the PDF, shared by invoices and estimates. Legal notes, bank details or a simple thank-you.
Settings & numbering
Control how invoice numbers are generated and set the defaults for new invoices. Owners configure it once for the organization.
Save who you bill and what you sell once — then build every invoice after it from records instead of retyping.
A customer record holds everything an invoice needs — billing address, tax and VAT numbers, contact email — so the next invoice is a two-click job.

PineBill follows a fixed three-step schedule around the due date. You pick who hears from it and when — it handles the rest, and every reminder lands in Email History with the original invoice.

Yes. The builder has two modes. Hourly Mode bills time at a rate — different service types can each carry their own rate. Product Mode bills items from your catalog with SKUs, tax and shipping. You pick the mode per invoice.
No, and that's deliberate. Every status change — Draft, Sent, Paid, Overdue, Cancelled — is one you make yourself. Nothing moves behind your back, so the status you see is always the one you set.
Yes. Every click on the 'View Invoice' link in your email is recorded, and you get a notification the moment it happens. Share links track their own view count and when they were last opened. To be precise: we track opens of the invoice itself, not opens of the email — there's no tracking pixel in your customer's inbox.
Yes. Any share link can carry a password (four characters minimum), an expiry of an hour, a day or a week, and a view limit of up to 10,000. A link with no expiry is permanent and public — and once you've made one for an invoice, you can't add expiring links to that invoice later.
The schedule itself is fixed at three steps: 7 days before the due date, on the due date, and 7 days after. What you choose is who gets them (up to 5 recipients), what hour and timezone they land in, and whether the PDF rides along. If the invoice is paid or cancelled, the pending reminders cancel themselves.
Four: Standard, Bold Professional, Mono and Startup Modern. Choose one per invoice, or set your default once and forget about it.
Only organization owners. Invoice numbering and the defaults for new invoices are configured once for the whole organization, so your numbering stays consistent no matter who on the team raises the invoice.
Yes. Set up a recurring invoice with a customer, products and a schedule — weekly, biweekly, monthly, quarterly or yearly, on the days you choose — and PineBill generates each invoice at the time you set, emailing it automatically if you like. Every run is logged as Success, Failed or Skipped, and you can pause, resume, or cap it at an end date or a number of invoices.
Yes — the free invoice generator makes a professional PDF with no account at all. Signing up adds the things a tool can't: saved customers and products, sharing, reminders, and a record of everything you've billed.
